Created at the Canyon (C@C) presents original art on the trails, inspired by the natural and cultural history of Kwanlin (Miles Canyon) & Canyon City! The free event aims to connect Yukoners with our landscape and history through creative media, as well as to support local artists connecting with each other, the public, and the natural world. We aim to feature artists who will explore the landscape, heritage and history of the area through a variety of perspectives and media.
I painted 2 acrylic plein air paintings depicting the energetic orbs of area. I imagine the thousands of years of people traveling through this area leaving behind reminants of stories, acumulating into these bright ghostly orbs in the woods along the canyon.
